Every trainer and coach knows the power of the word “Again.”
It tests you… increases your ability… pushes you to your limit.
Just when you think you are done… just when you think the set is over or practice is finished… they say it,…
“Again!”
For the one being coached or trained “again” means pain… sweat… exhaustion… frustration.
It can cause you to question the motives of the instructor. It can get you to wish you never joined the team or decided to compete.
But you did.
You committed.
You made the decision to follow through… you agreed to hear “again” and released your right to walk away because you knew that is what it would take.
Whether you had to lace up your sneakers or tighten the strings on a guitar…
Every hour of practice … drop of sweat … lap around the track…
Every callus… cramp… tear.
Every cold morning… late night…
Wasn’t to prove you couldn’t do it… but to prove you could.
It wasn’t about not learning your lesson… it was about getting to the next one… the one that would give you the advantage.
When you committed your life to Christ… you joined His army.
And there is a big difference between potty training and military training.
When you find yourself facing the same old problems… the same old struggles… the constant, tiring, draining, frustrating repetition…
Don’t cry, “What am I doing wrong Lord?” “Why am I going through this… again?”
You aren’t being punished… you are being perfected.
7 times around the city and Jericho fell. How much bigger the walls that will come down if you need to go around “again.”
He knows the power of the word… He used it Himself….
“and in three days I will rise again.”
Every test you face the devil fails… and the perseverance of the saints prevails!
