What's the point?

Beep… Beep… Beep
Snooze.
Beep… Beep… Beep

Coffee on.  Shower.  Coffee down.
You are up.
And the day starts… again.

If you ever feel like your life just seems to be one day repeated over… and over… and over again…

If you ever wonder what lasting impact you may have in the kingdom of God…

If you ever think that there could be more you are doing… something bigger… something better…

Remember…

The only difference between a rut and a groove is who you are when you are in it.

The river has its force because it is in a “rut.”  And if it wasn’t, it would never make it to the sea.

What we may think is mundane, routine, fruitless,  ineffective, aimless, or unimportant…

God sees as ordained.

He wants to shine a spot light on you and say, “Have you seen my servant…”

If you are waiting for God’s ultimate “plan” to unfold for your life, you aren’t the first one.

If you are facing setbacks, disappointments, or struggles, you aren’t alone.

You are in good company.

Moses had his forty years before God brought Him back to Egypt.  Joseph went from “well off” to “in a well”… not to mention into slavery, then prison, and then into the back of someone’s mind where he was almost forgotten… and all of this having been betrayed by his own family.

But God hadn’t forgotten Joseph… and He hasn’t forgotten you.

And He never would.  Because Christ was forsaken for you.

Have you ever wondered what the Father’s answer was to Jesus’ question on the cross, “Why hast thou forsaken Me?”

I have.  I imagine it was something like this…

“So that they will never be.”

If you ever wonder where all of this is leading…

It is into His arms.

Wherever you are in your life… be there.  Don’t try to escape it… let Christ invade it.

He needs you where you are to get His work done... for His plan to unfold.

We may not understand it, but we can have the peace that passes that understanding and trust that He has it all covered.
