Came across this verse in my devotional time this morning. Go figure... He says it much better and much more concisely than I ever could. If you were looking for biblical support for the "Receive and Believe" post...
"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." 1 Thess 2:13 (empahses mine)
Also, in line with the title of the Blog... "effectually" is the KJV version of "effectively".
Receive it, believe it and the Word of God will be effective in your life.
