“For all… fall short of the
glory of God.” Romans 3:23
God’s glory is His very identity. For Him to be
glorified is for Him to be acknowledged, to be recognized, to be made
known.
Jesus glorified the Father…
And the Father, in turn, glorified the Son.
Our very purpose in life… actually the purpose of every
human being – for we have been made in the image of God – is to glorify Him.
We are to make Him known to a hurting, fallen world.
But how shall we do that if we ourselves have fallen
short of really knowing Him?
As well as we think we know Him… He is so much better.
When I read the above verse I do not feel condemned, and
neither should you. We are under a new covenant… we are under Grace.

I get excited when I think that even with all of the
amazing, incredible, beautiful, and great things we can think about Him… we
aren’t even scratching the surface.
His love is so much greater. His grace is so much more
amazing. His patience, His kindness, His mercy, His provision… all SO
much MORE!
In the flesh we would tend to think about how we fail.
But failure is finding the limit of something. Shouldn’t we be so
encouraged that our limit – the limit of our experience, the limit of our
imagination, the limit of our understanding – falls short of Him?
He is beyond our limits. He is forever to be explored.
Think of the most amazing thing you can think about God… and
then take minute to realize how far short of His glory – His very
identity – that is.
So how do we glorify Someone we can’t even fully
comprehend?
Introduce them to the One Who truly can.
The perfect, spotless, obedient unto death… worthy to be
praised… with a name above all other names…
Jesus.
If we let Him be seen through us… He will glory the Father.
He never falls short.
