Jury Duty

I had a dream, and in the dream I was sitting at a desk, reading from the bible.  I asked God out loud, “What does it mean to witness?”

He replied with a question, “What do you think it means?”

“I have to tell people about Jesus.”

Immediately He showed me a court room, and in the court room was a witness stand.

Speaking of the witness stand He said, “You have to be willing to tell people what you have seen, and point to me as the One Who has done it.”

We are all called to give our testimony.  And for certain, in the world, there are those who would put God on trial, they desire to condemn Him.  This is nothing new.  They condemned Him before, and He opened not His mouth.

We are called to open ours.

Plant the seed, water the ground, but know this… that it is God who gives the increase.

No man has ever converted another man.  The bible says that it is the Father who reveals the Son.  And it is the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin.

What has He done in your life?  What wonderful works have you seen?  Share these.  Give testimony.  Don’t condemn.  Share His love, for God is Love.  Let His light shine from you, it will dispel the darkness.  And then those who have not yet seen Him will have a chance to.

We need to always remember that often He doesn’t have it for us to see the fruit.  We may have planted.  We may have watered… but other ground needs seed and water.

Place the burden of conversion on the One who converts.

Testify of the love of the One who you love.  Be real.

And point to Him as the One Who has done it!

The world is the jury, the Savior… on trial.  Will you speak on behalf of the Defendant?
