Getting fed up? Try getting up fed…

If you are like me, you find yourself getting fed up with things, people, or circumstances pretty regularly.
There’s that person that just seems to always get under your skin.  Maybe it is that thing that so-and-so does that really annoys you.  Maybe it is your job, your boss, your hairline, the bills… whatever.
We just get fed up.  We take in a lot of junk.
The remedy… try getting up fed…
Give us this day our daily bread.” Matthew 6:11  He is the Bread of Life.  Getting a happy helping of the Lord first thing in the morning does the Spirit good.
I am all for praying before I go to sleep.  I am also all for a nice midnight snack.  But if I think that because I had that bowl of ice cream, or that piece of pizza late the night before I can miss breakfast… I am in for a rude awakening.  I get hungry… I get a head ache… and I get fed up.
The same is true for prayer.  We should end the day in communion with Him, absolutely.  But we can’t skip breakfast… that first meeting with Him in the morning.  We’ll find ourselves getting fed up.
By the way… what is the next thing the Lord told us to pray, after we asked for Him?...
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” Matt 6:12
Wipe the slate clean first thing.  Face your day filled with only Him.  Have a regular diet of discussion with Jesus. If a second equals a calorie then your daily recommended allowance of calories of Christ is 86,400.
Go ahead… figure out the math and get to eating.
