It is better to prAy than to be prEy.
Prayer is an ongoing conversation with the Lord... that the Lord Himself starts. Whenever you get a desire to pray, know that it comes from God... it is His way of saying, "There is something I would like to talk to you about." Or, "I just want to hear your voice."
To pray is to partake in that conversation, it is to know the Lord and be in that place of life and confidence. It is a place of power.
To be prey is a completely different story. It is not a place of power... but or weekness. It is not a place of life but a place of death. It doesn't come from God, but rather comes from the enemy, who prowls around looking to see who he might devour.
We don't want to be in that position... that position of death. And we don't want to give into the lie that we are already caught.
Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Nothing can take us from His hand.
We are not prey. The enemy has no right over us. We are alive in Christ. And we have the privelage of joinging with Him in prayer.
Prayer is the most powerful thing we can do. We ask and we are given. We need to be carefult with our prayer.
Go... pray.
