The Lord is always present.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matt 18:20

We had discussed this in a previous post “When God doesn’t show up” but it is worth repeating now because we can go deeper.

We think it is talking about Christians being together.  But do we forget that…

… when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,” Hebrews 6:13

Read Matt again and see that Jesus is swearing on Himself, on His name, that He is in the midst of them.  Whether they know it, acknowledge it, or care… He is there.

For His name is...

JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH:    "The Lord is There"

You begin to view the world… God’s creation… different when your first thought as a description for it is “the Lord is there.

It is easy when you are looking at a sunset, or the ocean, a bird in flight or a new born baby.  These are good.  And the Lord is there.

It is more difficult to do when you are looking at a cancer patient in the hospital, a child without limbs, a broken family, a homeless person or the devastation of a storm.

But He is not a liar… the Lord IS there.

Wherever you go today… whatever you see… He is there.

Look for Him.  Seek Him and you will find Him.
