Did you know that the Bible calls the devil the “prince of the power of the air?” Let’s take a look at what the Word of God has to say about that…
“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2
I want to stress something here. In Christ, we need to claim the air. We need to cast down the prince of the power of the air. We need to lift our voices and lift a joyful noise. We need to disrupt the airwaves… to make our own waves!
That is why I am so grateful for Christian radio. People have different opinions on “contemporary” Christian music. They speak about some stations as being “watered down” gospel.
But you have to hear this… they are fighting a massive battle on our behalf. They are going directly against the prince of the power of the air. They are lifting Jesus higher than your or my arms can go alone.
We need to be praying for them. We need to be thanking Jesus for the work they do.
I listen the Star99.1 (http://www.star991fm.com/). And I am encouraged when I see their bumper stickers on more and more cars each day. They are reaching people.
I don’t know if even they realize the impact that they have. I don’t know if they realize the battle that they have taken up…
I don’t know if they realize that they are the music that is leading in the revival in this area… the victory procession that precedes the Spirit of God.
The Lord has spoken that revival is coming (see here) and I believe that Starr99.1 has been playing and will continue to play a huge part it this revival.
We need to keep them and every Christian radio station in prayer.
You can’t fight a war without air support. And that is exactly what the power of radio is.
So what is your part in the battle?
Turn up the music!!! Sing out loud! Play your instruments and praise our King!
Together we will take the air!
