Reference God

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6
To acknowledge means to give credit to, to recognize.
Another way of saying it is to give reference to.
If you have ever done or read a research paper you know that there is a bibliography.  But the bibliography you start out with is often much larger than the bibliography you actually reference.  Some people call this a “selected bibliography.”  It represents the sources you chose to site.
When you narrow down your topic, and propose your thesis you wind up looking for the sources that really support your argument.  You get rid of the things you have read that don’t fit, and you make sure that you are standing on a solid foundation for your argument.
We need to get rid of all of the lies, the deception, and the thoughts that are not of God and find our selected bibliography.
We need to build our argument on only what the Lord would say.  We need to make sure that we stand on the Foundation.  The Rock.
We need to reference God.
Everything we do should carry a foot or end note that goes back to Him.  The Source.
Let the thesis of your life be an argument for God.
