“You have an older brother and a half-brother. With the half there are those who will go with the mother and those that will stay with the Father.”
This is what the Lord said to me after I had a short conversation with two Jewish men in which I simply shook their hands telling them that “you can’t honor God without honoring Israel.” They said, “We agree.”
It turns out that they had an outpatient rehab and physical therapy practice.
As I was walking away I said, “May your business be blessed, and all those who enter the doors be blessed as well.”
They simply said, “Thank You.”
It was in the car that the Lord spoke about my half-brother.
The older brother is Israel. He is the elder son in the parable of the prodigal son.
The half-brother is Ismael. Abraham as a father, but Hagar as a mother.
Those that will go with the mother are the Muslims who will never come to faith in Christ. They carry the bitterness and the pain that Hagar carried. Always trying to earn their way back into the family. They want to feel the love of the Father but do not think He could ever love them, because they were sent into the wilderness. They don’t realize that Jesus Himself went into the wilderness.
Maybe He was going there for them.
Those who stay with the Father are the Muslims who are seeking the heart of the Father, and because they truly believe they can be loved… they will come to faith in Christ.
And for those… the ones who will come… we must never stop going after them.
We need to show them the love of Christ.
What the Lord said to me today really impacted the way I think.
And when the way you think is impacted… your life is impacted. Like mine has been.
They are seeking the way. We need to show them.
